God Is With Us

In light of the recent events in Japan, it has really provoked my thoughts towards God and His sovereignty. God is with us. There is no need to fear, even though the world seems to be in a chaotic frenzy, rest assured God is in control and He knows what He is doing.

In 1 Samuel we see the Lord commanding David to be commander over His people. 1 Samuel 13:14, it's where God is choosing David to rule over His people because of Saul's disobedience. God had a plan, and He has a plan for us as well. We may not be able to see it right now and we may have to wait a long time to see the plan come to fruition, and that may mean we won't know until we are in eternity. But we may rest assured that God is indeed in control and He has a plan for us, God works in behalf of those who wait on Him and He never disappoints.

When fear starts to set in, Psalm 56:3 says that we can trust in God. Again, He does not disappoint but He is trustworthy and able to deliver. Fear has no place in our lives as Christians, even though the waves both literally and figuratively seem to be getting larger and the winds begin to pick up again in our lives, know that we can trust the One who will still the storms and bring us out into the clearing. What a great God that we serve and that we can trust wholeheartedly! God is infinite yet personal, majestic yet He condescends to meet us where we are. May we bring all of our fears and our cares before the Sovereign One, He is more than able to take care of us no matter what!
